The Happenings of Elder Leedom: August 2011

Hello my Amazing Family I have some great stories for you guys. i am glad Dillion is doing great and geting back into the swing of things... and i am so glad that you guys went out on the water and lived it up... glad everyone in Utah is goog too and doing what is right!!!!!! Glad to hear Clark is getting so big and that is ears are a little better... that has to be hard for him but we all need to trust in the Lord.... okay that is so sweet mom about the pictures and i am glad dad likes his buffalo. This week has been so busy but such a great one.... me and my trainee are doing so good and just getting better alll of the time and everything like that... Story #1 I met a new lolo or grandpa this week and he really wanted to listen so we set up an apointment and we went to his house and he opened the door and went inside his little house i about died bacuse of this.... inside this little house was a small wooden bed and a net for bugs and then about three pairs of clothes and that was it... no water no power nothing just the things i said earlier.... so i knew he had a rough life and then he began to talk and my heart about just fell out of my body .... his wife deid less than a year ago and he has three kids.... he is super old so he speaks super slow.... he said he gave all of his stufff to his kid so that they could feed their children.... so humble so humble...then is started talking about how he can't work enough cause he is so old that almost every other day he goes without food cause he has no money... but while he was saying this he had tears in his eyes cause he said after he read the little book i gave him all his bad feeling just went away and he felt happy again... then we taught a great powerful lesson that was just amazing i was almost crying as well. right before we left because it was getting dark and no light in his house he grabed my hand and with tears in his eyes said thank you!!!!!! I know that the Lord has prepared this man for me and i am so happy to be teaaching him so i hope things countinue to go so great.... okay story #2 first off this is not a joke this is a true story I have pictures of the baby... so we went to Kimblerly's house cause we heard they were back from the hostipal and so we wander to see how things went and of course to share a message with her and we got there and i saw the little baby which i thought was a girl but turns out she actually had a boy so that was so cool and so i asked Kimberly what his name was .... (this is the mothers 13th child by the way and the last) and Kimberly said his name was Leedom and i started laughing cause i thought it was a joke but then the mother said no his real name is Leedom and his nickname will be Elder.... I am not lying right now either i have evidence... So now there are two Elder Leedoms in my area and i was like well thank you so so much... cuase i feel so horoned to have her name her baby after me so that was a great surprise.... But i am loving the mission and have just a great time here... on wednesday me and my trainee went to Tarlac which is like three hours away and that was so fun to get on some ugly old bus and go to this different place... .so this was a great week and i had a great time.
